産業用ポンプやバルブにおいて、戻りばねは故障するまで誰も気に留めない部品です。媒体中に設置され、作動ごとに繰り返し荷重を受け、その役割は一見単純です。スプールやポペットを毎回確実にシートに押し戻すこと、それが何年も続くのです。ばねがへたると、バルブは完全に閉じなくなり、その結果生じる不具合は原因から遠く離れた場所で現れます。まさにそれが、この問題を高コストにする理由です。

プロジェクトの背景と課題

顧客は、プロセス産業および機械製造市場向けの産業用ポンプとバルブを製造するドイツのメーカーです。同社のバルブ設計では、閉鎖のたびにポペットをシートに戻すために圧縮ばねを使用しています。フィールドサービス分析の結果、閉鎖不完全の苦情の一部は、戻りばねの荷重損失に起因することが判明しました。ばねは長期の繰り返し作動後にへたり、バルブの公称サービス間隔よりもはるかに早く着座力が設計最小値を下回っていました。

500万回サイクルまでの疲労検証

顧客の仕様は、限界を超えるへたりなく200万回のサイクルを要求しています。BQUQは設計を500万回サイクルで検証しました。これは標準の500万~1000万回サイクル検証能力の範囲内であり、試験リグで圧縮疲労を実施し、定期的に荷重損失を測定しました。ばねは余裕をもって200万回要件に合格しました。へたりは規定寿命をはるかに超えても限界内に留まり、この疲労レポートがプロジェクト全体の決め手となる文書となりました。

品質管理と納品
